Hi Paul, I saw Christie's walk on Gardening Australia initially.

We live in Rockhampton C.QLD and our climate in very humid and tropical. We are wanting to build a house that suits our climate and I'm frustrated because local architects only seem to want to show off how good their designs and drawings are without considering our environment. I'm a practical thinker and feel our summer heat up here. I'm very much into solar orinentation, being warm in winter and cool in summer (without the A/C going 24 hours a day)! I'm so frustrated that I want to learn how to do this myself so I don't have to rely on being misguided up here. So with this in mind I have some questions to ask you please.

Do do know of anyone up in Qld that would be into what your into and can do what you have done with Christie Walk?

As an architect, did you have to follow any guidelines, and if so what sort of organisation gave those to you?

Apart from architecture, what do you have to study to gain this knowledge of everything you put into Christie's Walk?

Thank you for your time.
Kind Regards
Joanne

thankyou to Shani today at Sturt St for letting me look at Christie Walk just for a few minutes. I am basing my BA on architecture's psychological space. Public place and private space. Arch. of happiness. Your description so far seems to fitting what I have been searching for. Student at Central School of Art at Norwood. Can I keep in touch and can I also see a bit more on the 3rd Sunday. Regards. Sheila
